Joe King, the biggest up and coming artist is
now the new face of Stussy UK. Maverick has had the fortune of catching up with Joe to reflect on his involvement
with the brand and what it means for him and what it could do for his career.
The brand has always worked with young,
passionate, hard working and successful individuals. The overall quality of the
brand attracted King to the brand in the first place. “I had the meeting with the
people from Stussy and they’re really into collaborations. They’ve worked with
other artists such as Josh Southway and Dave Kitson. These are both artists who
I look up to and it I’m very happy to have linked up with Stussy.” It’s not all
about the music for Joe, as
He is also a big fan of the products that are available. “I’m a big fan of Stussy. It is
The sort of brand that I will be happy to represent.
Joe’s music has developed greatly over the last few years. ”It’s been crazy! I can’t
believe that so much has happened in such a short space of time. I’ve gone from
playing gigs with less than ten people in the back of a pub to selling out
arenas and the prospect of tour in 2014. I feel that the deal with Stussy will
help me in my career.”
